"We still do things the old fashioned way, which gives our meats the old fashioned flavor", said David Ruff, CEO, Petit Jean Meats. "We don’t use anything but the best quality meats and the best quality ingredients. So if you’re looking for a great hot dog, a great ham, a great smoked sausage with great flavor, we have it all".

Karen developed her love of cooking while growing up on a farm. She learned the basics from her mother and grandmother who were great farm cooks. From a young age, Karen had fun experimenting with her Easy Bake Oven and eventually joining the 4H Program where she entered food projects at the county and state fairs. Jamie earned a BS degree in Home Economics Education from Iowa State University. When Karen is not on the road traveling for Taste of Home, she works as a Food Consultant developing and testing recipes and writing about food. Karen lives with her husband Scott in Central Iowa.
With over 45 years of combined Sugar art and cake decorating experience, Danny and Rebecca have done everything from teaching aspiring decorators, hosting seminars and bridal shows to competing in national competitions and televised cake challenges.
