The Western Dairy Association is a non-profit organization funded by and working on behalf of dairy farm families in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming to promote dairy products as part of a balanced diet. As an affiliate of the National Dairy Council, Western Dairy Association has served as a nutrition and health-education resource for Colorado, Montana and Wyoming for more than 80 years, providing timely, scientifically sound information to physicians, dietitians, nurses, educators, media, consumers and others interested in fostering a healthier society. Chef Mo Montgomery, Director of Hospitality & Culinary Arts at Pueblo Community College is leading the program with sustainability and elevating it to new levels with competitions and Learning Labs. Mo has a passion for community involvement and advocacy for women. At the Expo Mo will be preparing 'Easy Weeknight Dinners' and 'Healthy Snacks For Kids'.

Annessa believes that the best memories happen in the kitchen and teaches strategies around easy healthy cooking.She is a registered dietitian and weight-loss expert, an experienced TV host, mom of two, a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association, and a regular resource for a wide variety of traditional media and digital outlets. Chef Josh Kelly joined Bonny and Reads when it opened a little over a year ago, by Joseph Campana (Rabbit Hole/Supernova). They painstakingly source the freshest seafood available to ensure the product provided is superior to what was traditionally available in the springs. Originally from New York, Chef Josh Kelly has been a Colorado Springs resident for about ten years. He worked the local restaurant scene for a few years before spending the last four years with Whole Foods Market. He has a passion for using fresh ingredients in a simple way to convey the true flavors of the food.

Chef Patrick Reitmayer and his wife Sherry opened Salt of the Earth Catering in 2010 where Patrick serves as the Executive Chef. Patrick enjoys show cooking and the challenge of creating and customizing menus for clients. Salt of the Earth Catering has catered over 2,000 events and served over 150,000 people over the last 7 years. With over 20 years in food service, Patrick continues to stretch his culinary knowledge by creating new recipes and menus, experimenting with foods from other countries, and finding new ways to do things fresh and organic. We are honored to have Chef Reitmayer be a part of our special event!

Karen Brennan believes in a total body, root cause and individualized approach to body/mind balance instead of symptom management. Her process to getting people feeling better is unique and the root causes and protocols are different for each client. Karen has a Masters in Social Work, is certified as a Nutrition Consultant and is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition. She is also an herbalist and has studied Ayurvedic and western herbs. Karen is the owner of Tru Foods Nutrition Services, LLC and offers one to one nutritional consultations for mental health, digestive/gut health and skin issues. The Mac and Cheese Showdown offers attendees the opportunity to taste our Chef’s versions of this popular dish. Our panel of judges: Chef Mo Montgomery, Gazette Food Editor Teresa Farney and Dairy Farmer Brenda Pearson will select the winner based on taste, originality and presentation.
