MARY ANNE POTTER appears on Channel 8's Good Day Tulsa each Friday with her "Special of the Week”. Mary Anne is well-known in
Ponca City and the surrounding area for her herb company, Herban Renewal Farms and founded the Ponca City Herb Festival.

Chef Sarah Leavell
SARAH LEAVELL grew up on a farm and her earliest memories are of time spent in the fields and garden; she began cooking at home for her nine siblings before she was tall enough to reach the stove…Today Sarah has earned her culinary associates in applied science degree and has done every kitchen job from dishwashing on up.
Sarah’s first culinary job was with Flair in Muskogee, Ok; where she progressed quickly to Head line cook. In June of 2009, she joined Canebrake as the Pastry Chef and in 2 years she was promoted to Chef de Cuisine. It was in that capacity that she appeared here at last year’s Women’s Living Expo Celebrity Chef Cook-Off and prevailed. Most recently Sarah has leveraged her joy of sharing and teaching by joining Platt College as a culinary arts instructor. She is excited to be part of teaching the next generation of Oklahoma Chefs.
Chef Valarie Carter
Valarie is the editor of Edible Tulsa magazine, is a classically trained chef, food and wine columnist, wife and mom.
A Webbers Falls, OK native and graduate of Fort Gibson HS, Valarie earned a B.A. in English from Oklahoma State University and an Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Atlanta. She’s continued her education by taking food and wine classes at the CIA in Napa Valley. Besides extensive work in hotels and country clubs, she spent nearly 5 years as personal chef. She has experience in food and beverage
