Patty McCall has been in entertainment for 40 years both in front and behind the camera. After a 17 year marriage broke up Patty moved to California thinking she would leave her PAIN of what happened in Oklahoma. Shortly after her move she realized that she had to write it down to forgive and release everything that happened in her marriage. Never thinking her journal would become a book to help others that have endured Abuse. “Unmasking the PAIN Within” was published in 2008. She traveled from California to Virginia Beach on a book tour visiting with women in shelters. Today Patty is an advocate against Domestic Violence and the Founder of P.A.I.N. Prevent Abuse in Neighborhoods. She works to bring awareness of domestic violence through short films and music videos and also helps women transition from shelters to the work force.
Ten years after PAIN was founded Patty with Janet Gale wrote “U Can 2” sharing the stories of 11 Victims of Abuse that Patty met along her journey. Everyone now has forgiven and overcame their PAIN to help others. Before the 'Me Too' movement Patty started “U Can 2” movement. Sometimes you understand that helping others can help you forget about your own PAIN.
